Over the years we have been asked a variety of questions about the Hotel, the services and facilities we offer and about Blackpool itself. I have compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions but should you require further information please call: 01253 345815 or email me:
ACCESS - Is there a lift in the hotel?
No sorry we do not have a lift. Due to the age and layout of the building we are unable to offer rooms on the ground floor and ALL rooms require access via a staircase. There is a minimum of 17 steps to the first floor and a further 15 to the second floor.
BAR - Is there a bar in the hotel?
Yes, we have an amazingly well-stocked bar offering a variety of beverages, hot and cold. We offer draught lagers and bitter as well as a range of bottles and cans. There is also a huge selection of spirits, shots and liqueurs. In addition guests can enjoy a selection of non-alcoholic beverages and an array of teas and coffees.
BAR - What time does the bar open?
The Bar is open from 9am each morning
BAR - What time does the bar shut?
The bar closes at 11pm each evening. Last orders is called at 10.50pm. Drinks served after this time are at my discretion. Hint: If you have been in the bar drinking you are more likely to get 'one for the road' than if you stagger in at 11pm.
During special events such as the Blackpool Airshow and Christmas, Twixmas and New Year these times do not apply.
BAR - Can we bring our own alcohol to drink in the bar?
No sorry, only food and drink purchased from the hotel can be consumed in our bar or sun lounge.
BAR - Do you provide ice?
Yes, we can provide ice should you require it, however as we purchase our ice we do charge £1 per bucket.
BAR - Do you offer draught beer and is it available all year round?
Yes, we offer a couple of delicious lagers, a cider and a bitter on draught. These are available all year round.
CAR PARKING - Do you have car parking?
Yes, we have car parking for all of our guests. Please note that the car spaces are suitable for standard sized cars. We will be unable to park up oversize vehicles such as vans, work vehicles, transits, caravans and suchlike without prior arrangement. Parking for oversized vehicles is not guaranteed.
You will need to give your car details (registration, make and colour) to reception in order to gain a parking permit. Without a permit you cannot park on our carpark and will be ticketed (does not apply to immediate check in and arrival). The hotel cannot help in cases where tickets have been issued due to non-display of permit or parking outside of bay. We strongly recommend guests do not move their car once parked-up by us.
FOOD & DINING - Do you offer evening meal?
No, we no longer offer evening meal throughout the season, however during the Festive season (Christmas, Twixmas, New Year) we offer full board and during some of our Holiday packages, i.e. The Blackpool Airshow Weekend Special we offer a buffet supper as well as bed and breakfast.
FOOD & DINING - Do you provide breakfast?
Yes we do. All our tariffs are room only (except Holiday Packages and Special offers) with the option to add on breakfast. Breakfast is available at £7.50 per person.
FOOD & DINING - What time do you serve breakfast?
Breakfast seating times are currently 9am to 10am. Due to the current situation we are staggering entrance to our dining area. You must book your slot at reception and then you can enjoy breakfast at your leisure. We like to get everyone seated in this time frame to ensure we can offer the freshest food possible and the fast service you require first thing in the morning.
LOCATION - Where are you located?
We are located exactly midpoint between the Central and South Piers, midway between the Pleasure Beach and The Blackpool Tower. The hotel is directly opposite the Beach.
MASKS - Do I have to wear a mask in the hotel?
We are keen to comply with Government regulations as well as keeping all our guests and staff safe. With this in mind Masks MUST be worn at check-in and in the corridors & stairs. Masks do NOT have to be worn in your bedroom,outside the hotel, whilst seated in the bar, sun lounge or dining room. Staff will be wearing masks at ALL times.
MASKS - I am exempt. Do I still have to wear a mask?
Yes. We have a no exceptions policy. For the exceptionally short time that you will be in the reception & public corridors areas we respectfully ask that you wear a mask. This will help keep us, you and other guests safe.
ROOMS - Are the rooms en-suite?
Yes, all of our rooms offer en-suite facilities.
ROOMS - Do you have rooms with a bath?
No, Sorry all of our rooms are equipped with en-suite showers.
ROOMS - Do you offer family rooms?
Yes we do offer family rooms for 2 adults + 1 child or 2 adults + 2 children. These are extremely popular and are often booked up however we have a number of rooms that can take extra beds and accommodate a family easily. If you cannot see availability online simply call me on 01253 345815.
