The Lights turn on early each evening because the days are at their shortest. You’ve just got to experience the atmosphere of Blackpool Illuminations season at least once in your life. If you like a happy atmosphere, you’ll just love the Lights!
Worried you won't be able to walk it? You don’t have to be a super-fit athlete to enjoy your walk through the six miles of display. Break it up into sections and enjoy a bit at a time. That way you can also venture into shops, attractions, the Piers, the town centre or whatever takes your fancy. You can also drive through the Illuminations by car, travel by bus or take the tram.
