Walkers

You can choose from a four-wheeled or a three-wheeled Walker. They are brilliant for helping you to walk and carry things when distance and balance are an issue when trying to get around.

For some extra support while you’re walking, choose a push-along walker. You can use them indoors and they’ll also help you on your way around the town. There is a seat so you can take a rest when walking has tired you out. Very handy if you are waiting in a queue or for a tram or a bus - you have your very own seat when everyone else has to stand! Some even feature a built-in basket or bag that’s the perfect place to put your souvenirs. Wheels make for easy movement along the ground, while an aluminum frame is lightweight and sturdy at the same time.

Want a walker? Simply give me a call and one will be waiting for you on arrival. We can help you take it in and out of the hotel, up and down the front steps and there is no need to take it up to your bedroom as we will store it on the ground floor for you. We will also wipe away the excesses of the weather for you each day so it remains fresh and pleasant to use. At night we will secure it away and get it out ready for you to use the next morning.

Wheelchairs

Lightweight and foldable these wheelchairs are ideal for getting about if a walker is not for you but you will need someone strong enough to push you in it and to lift the chair should you wish to fold it up and get on and off trams and buses.

The wheelchair is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and features puncture-proof rear tyres to give reliable traction on all surfaces. The chair has a practical design that makes it comfortable and safe, whilst the swivelling front wheels make cornering easy. This Folding Wheelchair is upholstered in a wipe clean vinyl fabric ensuring it stays fresh with each use. Its footrests and padded armrests make it a comfortable ride. In addition, the Folding Wheelchair can be folded in half for storage and transportation between locations.

Mobility Scooters

Want more freedom but can't walk long distances? Want to explore a little further afield? Then a mobility scooter is the best option for you. A mobility scooter is probably the right choice for you if you can travel relatively independently, get on and off the scooter on your own, and are able to use a bicycle-style steering column or tiller.

Ask us to arrange a mobility scooter for you and we will arrange for one to be delivered to the hotel on the day you arrive, fully charged and ready to go. Hand your key in to reception when you finish with it at the end of each day and we will recharge the battery for you so it is ready to go the following morning. We will also wipe away the excesses of the weather for you each day so it remains fresh and pleasant to use. At night we will secure it away and get it out ready for you to use the next morning after breakfast. We will also supply an emergency callout number should you have any problems whilst out on your travels.

Disability scooters usually come in three different sizes – small, medium and large, it’s important that you let us know the mobility scooter most appropriate to your needs. As a general guide:

Small: Suitable for those weighing less than 8 stone.
Medium: Suitable for those weighing more than 8 stone but less than 19 stone.
Large: Suitable for those weighing 19 stone up to 30 stone.
